The Department of Nourishments Arts® – The DNA® Program – will be profiled during two special segments of “Good Day Street Talk” on Fox 5 this Saturday, February 7th at 6:00 AM. The program highlights The Center for Discovery’s unique approach to optimizing health and wellness through its advanced nutritional program and whole foods experience. The first segment will be a panel discussion with Center Parent, Monica Forman; Assistant Chief of the Department of Nourishment Arts®, Jennifer Franck, MS, RD, CDN; and Executive Chef, Peggy Parten discussing the importance of quality food and optimal nutrition for overall health featuring The Center’s Seed to Belly® philosophy.

The second segment features a cooking demonstration with award winning Italian chef, restaurateur and Dean of Italian Studies at the International Culinary Center, Cesare Casella, who showcases a Center recipe – a winter squash risotto with kale and lacto-fermented sauerkraut – featuring Thanksgiving Farm products. As Chief of the Center’s Department of Nourishment Arts®, Chef Casella has focused on education through such initiatives as Da Vinci Master Chef Program to share recipes, food philosophies and techniques with DNA’s® culinary team.

The segments will be available on Fox 5 website starting this Saturday as well as The Center’s homepage. Be sure to tune in!
