Virtual Gala

Put away the cocktail dress and take off that tie…
The 2015 Evening of Discovery is going online!

No need to take a taxi, ride a train or beat rush hour traffic. Your experience will be from the comfort of your own desktop, tablet or mobile phone.
That’s right – the purchase of your virtual sponsorship will be 100% tax deductible. Create a journal page, bid on incredible auction items and host a party for your social network.

100% of the proceeds go directly to programs and services at The Center

The Evening of Discovery is The Center for Discovery’s most important source of unrestricted funding and is critical to supporting those programs for which other funding is limited. As The Center moves forward with the development of innovative new models of care, this year’s “Virtual Gala” provides an opportunity to ensure that The Center continues providing the highest level of care for children and adults with complex conditions and medical frailties.

History of The Discovery Evening (formerly Discovery Ball)
The Discovery Ball is an essential annual fund raising event sponsored by The Center for Discovery Foundation in support of The Center for Discovery. It began in 1997, and is the charitable highlight of the year. It serves as both a major fundraising event and as a friend-raising, cultivation event. In previous years The Ball has been attended by as many as 700 Board members, parents, families, friends and other guests. Since its inception, The Ball has raised over $3,800,000.00.

Money raised goes toward funding the innovative programs The Center has developed for people with disabilities.
