Evening of Discovery
The Evening of Discovery is the signature fundraising event for The Center for Discovery, a national model of innovation for those with significant disabilities and complex medical conditions. The event includes strong representation from The Center’s families, friends and supporters, valued business partners, the community, government officials and other supporters. This year, The Center is very proud to honor Lon T. Dolber, CEO & President of American Portfolios, and Vice Chairman of World T.E.A.M. Sports.

Discovery Golf and Tennis Invitational

The Discovery Golf and Tennis Invitational is an annual fundraising event held at the exclusive Tuxedo Club in Tuxedo, NY. Golfers and tennis players enjoy a day that starts with breakfast and registration. At the shotgun start the golfers are sent off onto the course as bagpipes play from the clubhouse. The tennis players are whisked away through the gated community to the tennis courts for the day. All return to the clubhouse for cocktails, golf games, dinner, auctions and raffles, and of course, the presentation of awards. All proceeds from the event go toward funding of The Center’s unique programs and services.
Michael Ritchie Big Barn Event

The Michael Ritchie Big Barn Event for a Sustainable Future is the signature fall fundraising event for The Center for Discovery – bringing together family members, prominent friends and supporters. Proceeds from the event benefit the Discovery School Research Program and innovative partnerships with leading researchers to advance the care for individuals with a wide range of disabilities and special needs.
The proceeds of this event will be directed to the comprehensive initiatives of The Center’s Research Institute to provide enhanced research and treatment to children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other disabilities.

The Annual Harvest Festival is a celebration of new discoveries, old and new friends and a bountiful harvest. An Autumn Harvest Buffet features the seasonal bounty of The Center’s Thanksgiving Farm, CSA, for invited guests to share.
The Center for Discovery is the nation’s premier specialty center for individuals with significant disabilities and medical frailties as well as the growing number of children with autism. As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, proceeds from this event enable The Center to continue to provide innovative care and conduct research while contributing to the long-term sustainability through The Center’s Endowment.
