The Center for Discovery is seeking employees interested in working within a dynamic, farm-based learning environment as a teacher associate. This role is a hands on position that directly supports teenage students with a diagnosis of ASD to develop independence, increase functional communication and social skills while preparing them for future vocational settings. The HealthE 6, Our innovative and progressive lifestyle approach to designing supports that promote success for students,  means that enthusiasm, flexibility and out-of-the box thinking are critical skills for prospective applicants! All applicants must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma. This is a Day time position that normally works Monday-Friday.

Please note:  The duties of this position require that employees spend most of their day on their feet with frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds.  Additionally, the Teacher Associate is required to perform 2 person lifts of individuals up to 125 lbs.  This position always requires daily outdoor activities, entering the swimming pool with students, exposure to human elements and loading and unloading of students into vehicles, as needed.
