Community Supported Agriculture
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a mutually beneficial arrangement between the farm and community members. All the produce is grown using organic and biodynamic methods to ensure a sustainable health for the soil, resulting in the freshest and most nutritious vegetables and fruits.
The organic approach favors renewable resources and conservation of land and water and sustainable methods that ensure a safe and fresh food supply.
Biodynamic goes further; it sees the farm as a self-contained organism that grows to become a real individuality under the farmer. With the presences of livestock, the farmer builds up a living and healthy relationship with all the organs of the farm: the soil, the plants and the animals. Carefully prepared composting is key to this symbiosis. The farmer on the other hand ensures that the plants (and consequently the livestock and people) are in optimum relationship with both the earth and the cosmos. For that he uses preparations; mineral, plant and animal bases in specific manners at specific times to optimize the growth and maturity of plantlife. The result is a connection between all aspects of the farm that is healing to the land and the people involved with it.
