Qualified candidates must be flexible and available to respond to emergency/crisis situations that may occur within non-traditional business hours. Whole Foods Cook

We are looking for people to be a part of our pursuit to improve the lives of our residents, staff, community, and planet through the daily preparation of high quality cuisine.   This is a wonderful opportunity for the person who loves to cook and is also prepared to function as part of the residential team, providing “hands-on” life skills to individuals with disabilities. We strongly support the use of seasonal and locally produced food.  Much of the produce used in our kitchens is grown on our own organic farm.  Our menu also includes pasture raised poultry and meat. Responsibilities include preparing farm-based whole foods meals and snacks for individuals, including those with special dietary needs. Requires knowledge of whole foods, enthusiasm for running a family style kitchen and working weekends.

Residential Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator is responsible for all administrative functions within their location. They shall ensure the health, education, and welfare of the individuals we serve and attending staff. Program Coordinators will be responsible for writing and implementing programs for individuals within the house; smooth operation of the physical plant; and administrative compliance within State and Federal regulatory guidelines. This position has 24 hour responsibility and also provides opportunities for meaningful leisure and social activities for the individuals.

The Integration Specialist provides appropriate behavior treatment intervention for identified residents and staff training related to the principles of behavior management, data collection and individual behavior treatment plans. Master Degree in Psychology with 2-5 years experience with behavioral intervention/consultation - experience with Autism REQUIRED.

Thank you for considering employment with the Center for Discovery. The Center for Discovery has long established standards of conduct for both behavior and dress for all of our employees.

The following standards/expectations must be met by all applicants, as well as employees, of the Center for Discovery.
Clothing and personal grooming must be clean, neat and appropriate for a professional workplace environment. Non-religious hats and other headgear must not be worn indoors. Do-rags and bandannas are unacceptable. No tight, sheer, revealing or low cut clothing. No facial and/or tongue piercings. No visible offensive tattoos (language, graphics, slogans, etc.). Cut-off shorts are not allowed and pants must be worn above the waistline. No visible under-garments. No exposed waistlines and/or stomachs. Footwear must be appropriate for the position (i.e., flip flops are not permitted in a position where the employee may need to move quickly). Must exhibit a positive and professional attitude. Must be able to work within a culturally diverse environment.
