The adult clinic provides a range of therapeutic services to individuals with significant disabilities. These services include physical and occupational therapy, speech pathology, psychology and recreational therapy services. Therapy goals focus on maximizing independence across functional contexts. Therapeutic interventions are provided individually and in small group settings. Innovative treatment options such as aquatic therapy, therapeutic horseback riding, fitness groups, counseling, communication and awareness groups are utilized to facilitate treatment goals and outcomes. Assistive technology opportunities, including augmentative communication devices, powered mobility, computer access, environmental control units, low-tech devices and gadgets, and adapted equipment, are integrated within therapeutic contexts. In-service training is provided on an ongoing basis to ensure carryover of therapeutic outcomes within all facets of the individual's life.
